Speed, compatability, and securityby Anonymous on Aug 22, 2000TurboLinux is MUCH faster on loading programs than RedHat or Mandrake. Downloading and compiling apps has worked every single time with TurboLinux Workstation 6.0 whereas on Mandrake you had to specify certain include directories to get a lot of programs to compile.
By default, there is no such thing as a remote user with TurboLinux. Inetd services are denied to all but the localhost.
Managing services and upgrades are excellent using turbopkg and turboservice. | |
