Idea is very good, simulation is quite good, physics are too easy for hard core gamers. Something needs to be mapped to the ground so that it's not squares when you're 50 feet off the ground. Otherwise I love the idea, and it's quite challenging.... Nice if it workedby Anonymous on Apr 15, 2004Nice idea but joysticks don't seem to work. Rather than use a pre-existing (working) stick wrapper they use their own (libjsw). Unfortunately, S & R doesn't read their own library correctly and the joystick configuration utility is useless since S & R doesn't seem to read the config file anyway.
Somehow a flight sim with no real joystick support doesn't impress me.
Joystick problem is the same in the windows version, and while the support staff has replied to my E-Mails they haven't yet offered a solution, only questions. Although they only have a few missions and no campaigns (and a few minor glitches, what can you expect, it's in development), it is still one of the best games on my comp right now. aren't many missions, but still this is one of the (if not the) best game on linux. Wish i had a joystick, which would probably help alot. Hope to see some updates, and hopefully a level editor.
