Astaro Security Linux is an all-in-one network security gateway that includes a firewall, intrusion protection, virus protection, spam protection, URL filtering, and a VPN gateway. Features include stateful packet inspection, deep packet filtering, intrusion detection and prevention, portscan detection, content filtering, virus detection for email and Web traffic, profile handling, L2TP, IPSec, SSL, and PPTP VPN tunneling, spam blocking, proxies for HTTPS, HTTP, FTP, POP3, SMTP, DNS, VoIP, SOCKS, and Ident, logging, and reporting. It supports Ethernet, VLAN, PPP, PPPoE, PPPoA, Cable Modem, QoS, Link Aggregation, WAN-Uplink-Loadbalancing in routing, and bridge mode. The WebAdmin, the Install Wizard, and Up2Date service make it easy to install, manage, and update.

Best solution ever! especially that it does not need you to have some special box like Watchguard. We ended up with a faulty watchguard and Astaro just saved our lives! It works too good to be true. Did you try their spam filtering? man! you would not need no onserver or personal antispam solution. Viruses? no problem - it cathes everything. Even ebay phishing!
BTW, you can nmap it - would not even be visible! Gosh, it's a saver! It's packed with features. Anything you can imagine is in there! I could go on and on, but am afraid noone is going to take it seriously. If everyone gives it a try, no other firewall would exist.

I had to find a firewall solution for my office, and gave Astaro a try. Worked a treat, had a bit of hassle setting it up for all the services we needed, but that was more due to my knowledge ( or lack of !!) than Astaro.

This is a real cool firewall solution. I installed it in 10 minutes, and had nearly all functions available, which are normally only in Checkpoints solutions. And Astaro Security Linux is very easy to manage. Well done firewall, thanks to the developers
