SATSHELL is the easy way to create Linux/Unix shell scripts with GUI interfaces. SATSHELL GUI screens are described using a simple easy-to-learn screen layout language (SAT/DL). The interface between SATSHELL and shell scripts is very simple as it uses the normal Linux/Unix Standard Input/Output mechanism. SATSHELL is available as an executable for Linux, and as source code for other Unix platforms. The current release of SAT/DL includes the following features: Labeled entry boxes, Buttons, Check buttons, Radio buttons, Multi column list box, Drop down picklist, Toolbars (with balloon help), Menus, Display text, Tree list, Support for multiple (child) windows, colour icons, Borders and lines -and- Support for function keys.
