By "sounds", it means all kind of RAW audio sounds. It allow you to access sound streaming in a totally portable, easy to use way. It supports several audio formats, as RIFF WAVE or MPEG Audio (both version 1, 2 or 2.5 (buggy)) layer I/II/III. It allow fast decoding of MPEG, using really few CPU clocks.
