GNU nano is a small and friendly text editor. Besides basic text editing, nano offers many extra features like an interactive search and replace, goto line number, auto-indentation, feature toggles, internationalization support, and filename tab completion. The original goal for nano was a complete bug-for-bug compatible emulation of Pico, but nano's main goal is to be as compatible as possible while offering a superset of Pico's functionality.

The arrow keys work just fine. If they don't you have definitely found a bug, try submitting as report to and it can be fixed!.

Not bad, they failed in one basic aspect, you can no longer navigate through the document using your arrow keys like you can in pico, which I think defeats the purpose of nano.
