Eye of Gnome is the default image viewer for the Gnome Desktop. Beside the general image viewing component (which is also used by the Nautilus filemanager), there is now a first version of a photo collection view. Of course, this can be also used inside Nautilus eg. for watching slide shows. Optionally, Eye of Gnome can make use of EXIF information, stored in digital camera images.
A no-nonsense, simple to use, small viewer for cbr (comic book archive) files. As it is written in C, the executable is small and fast. It views jpg (or jpeg), gif and png images, and you can zoom in and out. I can now view cbr, cbz and cb7 archives.
Xine is a free, gpl-licensed video player for unix-like systems. xine plays videos synchronizing the playback of image and audio. Depending on the properties of the stream, playback will need more or less processing power.
