You have to know Diablo, the famous RPG by Blizzard.
You have to know that Diablo 3 was released last month, almost 12 years after
Diablo II. You probably already know that 3.5 million copies of Diablo 3
were sold within 24 hours of its launch.
But, what you might not know is that you, the Linux gamers, can play Diablo 3 on your Linux box. And you can do it right now.
Unfortunately Linux users don't have the possibility, for now, to directly install Diablo 3 on their Linux system, at least the same way Windows or Mac users can. It could be possible to do so one day or another -- if Blizzard did say that a Linux port of Diablo 3 was not actually planned, they did not say it would never happen. But that don't mean you can't play Diablo 3 on Linux ...
Grab a copy of wine and install it, then jump to the Diablo information page
here and check the
section Getting Diablo 3 to run best under Wine.
Or, if you prefer the easy way, download PlayOnLinux. PlayOnLinux is based on Wine and allows Linux users to easily install and play Diablo 3. To install Diablo 3 on Linux, just launch PlayOnLinux, enter diablo in the search box, then follow the instructions.
Also, note that the PlayOnLinux news page regulary list new information about diablo 3 on Linux.
Finally, Crossover Games by CodeWeavers is another solution to run Diablo 3 on Linux. Download Crossover Games
