Anti-Spam

Anti-spam software filters unwanted email at the message, mailbox, or mail-server level. SpamAssassin scores headers and message text using heuristic tests, while Bogofilter learns to distinguish unwanted mail from legitimate messages. MailScanner processes mail on a gateway and can identify spam and viruses. The category includes stand-alone filters as well as tools that sit in a mail-delivery pipeline.
