Monitoring software collects and presents information about systems, services, and network traffic. Sysstat reports processor, disk, and process activity through tools such as sar and iostat. Wireshark captures and inspects network protocols packet by packet. Other entries help administrators watch machine health and investigate what is happening across a network.
