This update to Multimedia Analysis and Retrieval Engine (MARVEL) includes support for Web-based searching over extracted index, MPEG1 and MPEG2 video processing capabilities, an improved interface, and additional image processing and metadata extraction options. By using an automatic semantic extraction technique, MARVEL can analyze and fuse audio, visual, and text information in order to automatically annotate multimedia data.
