CherryPy is a Python-based tool for developing web services. It sits between a compiler and an application server. It lets you develop your Web site in an object-oriented way, using both regular Python and a templating language. It also comes with a handy standard library for things like cookie-based authentication, form handling, HTTP authentication, etc.
