Vodsp/xodsp are svgalib and X versions of a simple triggering-oscilloscope-like program (i.e. it graphically displays input from /dev/dsp and tries to keep waveforms steady). The triggering is done in a slightly unusual way, and does better at steadying waveforms than other programs I've tried (but I don't claim to have tried them all :-)).
