Animation

Animation software includes tools for drawing and assembling moving images, from plug-ins for an existing editor to dedicated 2D animation packages. The GIMP Animation Package adds animation workflows to GIMP. Synfig creates vector-based 2D animation, and KToon is a toolkit built around cartoon production. The category focuses on authoring animation rather than simply playing video.
