| WPClipart - High-quality public domain clipart collection with GPL viewer/editor.Updated by psherma1 on Wednesday, March 11th 2009. A collection of 19,350 (and growing) quality clip art images tailored for use in work processors. (Non-transparent PNG images, with tonal values and color corrections made to facilitate use with ink jet printers.) Included python/wxPython-based viewer/editor is handy but not necessary to view and use the clip art. Viewer is capable of color adjustments and many filtering/rotation/brightness adjustments. Also has a copy-to-clipboard function, can open with system default graphics editor and a link to browse online version, which is updated continually and has an xml-based search function used by Google that finds sought-after clip art quickly. Release Notes : 7.2 viewer/editor has support for transparent PNGs. Viewer is also now based upon python/GTK, no longer using wxPython. (pyGTK much more commonly installed) Clip art/photo collection now includes over 30,000 images.
Platforms : Linux/Mac (bz2 souce package) Window (any) comes as an installer.
