XBlast is a multi-player arcade game for X11R5/R6. The game can be played with at least two players and up to four players. It was inspired by the video/computer game Bomberman (Dynablaster), which was to my knowledge first programmed for NEC's PC Engine/Turbo Grafx. Other commercial versions of the original game exist for IBM-PC, Atari ST, Amiga, NES, GameBoy and Super NES.
The only problem this on has is difficulty with networked play over the Internet. I read somewhere that you can set up the X server to have permissions to connect to a remote computer, but still am trying to figure it out (want to play with my Bomberman-addicted friend, heh).
Soooooooooo many options, beautiful graphics, really nice sound, free and open-source . . . what more could one ask for ?
I just want the TNT version to be updated to stable, I WANT NET-PLAY SO BAD !!!
p.s. If anyone knows how to get it to work over the Internet, please send me an e-mail: trisk at earthling dot net
Just love it ...

This game is just so cool... two thumbs up!
We used to have lots a multiplayer fun with this, *everyone* likes it, and the games can be pretty fast (which is nice if you don't have much time to play).
