Grip is a GTK-based cd-player and cd-ripper. It has the ripping capabilities of cdparanoia builtin, but can also use external rippers(such as cdda2wav). It also provides an automated frontend for MP3 encoders, letting you take a disc and transform it easily straight into MP3s. The CDDB protocol is supported for retrieving track information from disc database servers. Grip works with DigitalDJ to provide a unified "computerized" version of your music collection.
Works really good! The only improvement I would like to see is a better interface for the filename template. Currently you have to enter the filename template in the format '~/mp3/%a/%d/%n.mp3' - it will get a vote of 5 from me when that is replaced with a Browse button to pick the save directory and a checkbox or something to select what attributes (track number, track name, etc.) (Sure I should just read the instructions, but that would be too easy...) Other than that it rules! :)
