ROX is a light-weight UNIX desktop environment based on GTK+. Instead of trying to hide filesystem details, like other environments, ROX is based around the filesystem. It is designed to be powerful, yet easy to use and easy to understand. At the core of the ROX desktop is ROX-Filer, a powerful graphical file manager which several unique features, including strong drag-and-drop paradigm and native support for application directories.
