When downloading this program, make sure to do a chmod 100744 to this program file to make it executable and then execute this file. It will then guide you through the installation process, which is very easy. I am using GCAD3D 1.60 with Mandriva Linux 2010.2 installed in the /opt directory and although I had to edit the gCAD3D.sh file to correct the path to /opt, the program works fine.
