Nail is a mail user agent derived from Berkeley Mail. It is intended to provide the functionality of the POSIX mailx command with built-in support for MIME messages, IMAP (including caching and disconnected operations), POP3, SMTP, and S/MIME. Nail offers its full command set both for interactive and batch use, and is especially useful for sending attachments from scripts or for reading mail via slow connections and on bad terminals. In recent system environments, nail is Unicode/UTF-8 capable.
