GTKWAVE

GTKWAVE is a simple to use waveform viewer and is excellent for viewing verilog Value Change Dump (VCD) files.

GTKWave.

GtkWave is veri well done, but surprisely I may prefer the older version (wave 1.2 I believe) to the latest (July 2002) gtkwave (2.0). There are several reasons. One the colorrs, the other the lack of data update when moving the time marker... But I have to say that after a tedious install, the result is very good for both versions. I have used the vcd file generated by icarus verilog, 0.6 I believe, which is quite good. The documentation for Icarus Verilog and Gkwave is not the greatest, but I should not complain: just write it! I would warmly recommend the combination Icarus Verilog and Gtkwave. Andre G-
