Blackbox is yet another addition to the list of window managers for the Open Group's X Window System, Version 11 Release 6 and above. Blackbox is built with C++, sharing no common code with any other window manager (even though the graphics implementation is similar to that of Window Maker).

This is one of the fastiest XWindow manager I ever saw... perhaps only the stand-alone X is faster than it. I'm using the 0.61.x version and it works so well I think I don't ever want to see KDE or Gnome again... great job, give it a try!
Wonderfully simple, but completely configurable and very powerful. I saw one of my co-workers using something that was ultra sleek, it didn't have that Windows feel to it like so many of the other managers and it was so simple to setup and get running.
