GPRename is a GUI batch file renamer based on Gtk-Perl. It can rename files numerically, insert/delete characters at/between specified position(s), replace strings (either using regular express or not), and change case.

Finally an elegant mass renamer for Linux!

The cool elegance of this renaming utility is matched by a full range of options. It's lightning fast and deserves widespread adoption. It would be useful to be able to install it in a central location; as it is now, the default is to run it where you untar it.

GPRename 2.6

This file renamer is a decent tool just like Rename Maestro. They are both good renamers perfect for faster organization of various files.
